Family Fun Weekend in Ojai

Happy Monday Everyone!

Two weeks ago, my family took a trip down to Ojai for some weekend fun and a wedding.  We didn’t have much planned but anything we do with a family of 12 is ALWAYS fun and chaotic.  Chaos, story of our lives, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. =)  Anyways, we stayed at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, and oh my gosh…it is the cutest and most perfect place for a family!  We got 3 separate suites but in the middle of all the rooms was a communal living room and fireplace.  PERFECT for a big family and 3 kids with multiple luggages filled with toys!  Ojai Valley Inn is a perfect place for a quick family getaway!  The restaurants are yummy, their accommodations are amazing, there’s activities for everyone in the family, and did I mention it’s pet-friendly and SUPER kid friendly?  We stayed there for a weekend but here are some things I caught for you guys if you ever decide to head to sunny Socal and visit Ojai!  Welcome to our humble abode that weekend!

How amazing and cute is this patio?!  The weather was perfect to open the doors, get some sun in, and let the kids run around.

Ojai’s Golf Course History is amazing!  Visit and enjoy the nature of the Inn’s historical course where they hosted seven senior PGA tournaments featuring some celebrities like Will Smith and Kevin Costner and legendary golf superstars like Arnold Palmer!  This is the perfect Sunday morning for some men bonding time!

Golf is a great hobby for father and son time.  Grab some clubs that Ojai rents out and practice on the range — they even have kids clubs available!  Did I mention it was FREE?

The little deck by our dinner table where Jackson and Riley had easy access to play around a little before their meal.  I LOVE this picture of Jackson clapping his hands to Riley’s dance moves!  Go Riley go Riley, GO!

SO MUCH open space for kids to run around!  Lots of hills to crawl, jump, dance, roll, and run!  Jackson loved going to that top of the hill and scream “I. AM. SUPERMAN!”

How adorable is this idea for kids?!  They transformed their kid swimming pool to an outdoor movie theater!  Jackson grabbed the first lounge chair he saw and enjoyed Tangled with some FREE popcorn and hot chocolate they were giving out!

Ojai doesn’t give out roll-a-way beds for kids, they give out actual toddler beds!  Riley claimed this bed the moment she laid her eyes on it.

The communal living room/play room for the kids.  Just dump the toys and leave them be. 🙂

Explore Ojai’s four luxury pool experiences that pleases all types of guests!  From their family swimming pool full of excitement and games, to their exclusive adult’s only pool offering a luxurious environment of pure relaxation.

Their family pool is where you could find us!  There’s shaded seating, private cabanas, and food and beverage poolside service for the perfect lunch setting.  Their kiddie pool has children’s seating and toys where kids can splash, be loud, and have fun!  Look the giant sea turtle Joshua and Riley couldn’t get enough of!

At Camp Ojai there’s hiking, biking, basketball, fishing, softball, volleyball, and lots of other fun activities guaranteed for family fun and togetherness.  We found this SUPER FUN giant water slide where the kids (and adults) had so much fun!

When’s your next vacay?  Pack your bags and grab the kids and head to Socal!  Visit Ojai for some family fun and while you’re at it, drive a little north to visit Santa Barbara for the beach or Solvang for some wine tasting!

Enjoy your Monday and stay tuned tomorrow for some amazing pictures I captured of the kids!  auntie k = designated photographer. =)
